Way to go Wildcat cross country team! The girl's team capped off their season with an incredible 5th-place team finish. Led by Summer Toussaint's all-state performance of 19th place, Clara Nicoline 36th, Addie Klos 43rd, Sawyer Smith 47th, Elsie Pawela 53rd, Maura Oeffling 118th, and Elsie Eastland 179th. This is the best team finish in school history. Congratulations, ladies.
The boy's team placed 19th. Pacing the boy's team was Grady Smith's 1st-place finish by 16 seconds. Cayden Moran 63rd, Carson Klos 162nd, Luke Jablonski 172nd, Gideon Christensen 177th, Griffen Slama 178th, and Iggy Karr 187th to round out the scoring. Grady capped off his jr. high career with the school record time and became the first Johnsburg athlete to win the cross country state championship.
